Fractions with a Side of Pie

Parker wanted pumpkin pie with dinner tonight. After his first slice he asked for more. So I said his payment was to answer: "what fraction of the pie did you eat so far?"

He said he wished he had some kind of tool so he could put it on top of the pie to see how many would fit (I think he was imagining something in the shape of the missing piece so he could see how many would fit). Instead he just estimated by point to parts of the pie and counting "1, 2, 3..." He estimated about 10 of these pieces would fit, so he said "1 tenth."

Estimation 180 has a lot of great problems like for this for the classroom (including some about pie!).
